Good morning, friends! It has been a while since I’ve done a thread, and I’d love to know what you’re up to. In the comments, tell me any or all of the following:
Tell me how your weekend has been.
What the biggest challenge has been this week.
What was your biggest “win”?
Or just talk about whatever you want! I’d love to hear about what’s on your mind. :)
As for me, I finally decided to buy a ticket to go back to Salt Lake at the end of October. I’ll miss Massachusetts and my lovely friend here, but I can’t wait to see my family. I’m hoping to go back to Salem next week and do some real research. If I get some really good content, I was thinking about switching out my upcoming series about Rachmaninoff for something about Salem… you know, for Halloween. Thoughts?
I’ve also been brewing up a few more ideas and projects, and I’m playing with the idea of selling ad space in certain posts. Would you guys be interested in buying ad space here to promote your own Substack, your business, etc.?
Anyway, talk to you in the thread!
I pulled an all-nighter to hit a deadline, and I followed it up with quality time with family, I ended the weekend by tidying up my studio and writing a plan for the week. My challenge is juggling studio time and family life, but I believe family just makes me more effective.
This weekend my wife and I attacked our house-washing project, which meant climbing up on ladders to spray 30-second cleaner on our mildewy and dirty roof, the scrubbing and power-washing it off. This might sound like hell, except for the fact that it reminds us that 32 years into our marriage, we still love to tackle big projects together, and we’re still able to. Cheers to staying fit and staying in love.
